Pitch it internally

The memo to send your boss.

You get it. Now you have to sell it to whoever owns the budget — and the real question in that meeting isn't "is this good," it's "what happens if this doesn't work." So here's the pitch pre-written, with honest answers to that question. Copy it, edit it, send it.

01The 30-second version

"Our own users would post about us for the price of a reward tier. Deo recruits them, trains them, verifies their views on the platforms themselves, and pays them automatically. The plan is free, we can pay rewards in product credit instead of cash, and nothing pays out until real views are verified. I can have it live in five minutes."

02The full memo

Every claim in it is true, so nothing in the follow-up meeting can bite you.

Subject: Creator program from our own users — no ad spend

Hi [name],

I want to propose a growth channel that doesn't involve buying more ads.

The platform is Deo (deo.so). It recruits creators from the people who already use us — a prompt in our product, or a hiring link we share with customers — then trains them on what makes short videos work, verifies their view counts directly on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, and pays them automatically when views land.

Why the risk is low:
- The plan is free and setup takes about five minutes. No contract, no card.
- We don't pay for promises. Rewards only release after views are verified on the platforms and we approve the claim.
- We can start with zero cash: rewards can be product credit instead of money, so the first campaign costs us nothing but our own product.
- Every week we get a report that translates the verified views into what the equivalent reach would have cost as paid ads — so we can judge it in dollars, not vanity metrics.

Who's behind it: the founding and advising team's previous projects have reached 24M+ combined users.

I'd like 10 minutes to walk you through it. I can have our hiring page live before the meeting — it takes five minutes on the free plan.

03The three questions you'll get

“What does it cost?”

The plan is free and there's no card at signup. The only money that ever moves is the rewards you set, and those release only after views are verified on the platforms and you approve the claim. If you'd rather start with zero cash, rewards can be product credit instead of money.

“What if the content is bad, or off-brand?”

You write your talking points and off-limit topics once, and every submission is checked against that brief before a reward releases. Creators get AI coaching on their hooks and scripts, required #ad disclosures are enforced, and nothing pays out without your approval. Worst case, a video underperforms — and you paid nothing for it.

“How do we measure it?”

View counts come from TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram directly — not screenshots. Your dashboard shows verified views, spend, and cost per verified view, and the weekly report translates the reach into what it would have cost as paid ads. If the math stops working, you stop. Nothing is locked in.

04Walk in with it already live

The strongest thing you can bring to that meeting isn't a memo — it's your hiring page, already live, with the first applications coming in. Setup is five minutes on the free plan.
